Right, I am a fairly new bike courier in Manchester. I am on a fixed salary so when there's no work, I relax. I am thinking of hiring an art studio or joining the library so I have something to do or shelter between jobs. T they have made it clear they don't like me chilling in the break room so I have to occupy my self outside.
What would you guys do with 4/5 hours spare each day and not being able to spend it in the break room. Bare in mind Manchester weather and the cost of cafes.

Thats a good idea if you're an artist 🙂 Not sure what supply and demand is like in manc but generally you'll find pretty long waiting lists for anything good and affordable. You could look at sublet options though.
Hot-desking might be another option- if you've got something you could fruitfully do in front of a computer there are various little complexes in city centres that offer desk-space on a flexible basis.

EDIT if you are are arty then rather than a studio let you could look at something open access - print making studios are used more on a session basis than renting space. You usually pay an annual membership and then a session or day rate. Those rates are usually pretty modest though - about the cost of a coffee usually.
