Making my way up the M6 yesterday and the number of rear bike carriers I saw that were obscuring lights/number plate was fairly high.
Has anyone been pulled over for this?

No, because I'm a swat and have a working lighting board or have them on the roof.
The problem is that the strap-on (oo-er) ones are dirt cheap so the cost of getting legal on the lights is massively disproportionate.
