hi,
any recommendations from the STW good lifers about a book on self sufficiency. Its going to be a pressie for my brother so does not need to be a nuts and bolts 'how to wire the resistors on the solar cells' guide, but more a nice looking inspirational one. Ideally it should be not too dry and nice pics.
ta
shouldn't he write his own?
John Seymour wrote the book that inspired The Good Life. I've got the concise version and it's very good - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Concise-Guide-Self-Sufficiency-John-Seymour/dp/1405320206/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_3
This seems to be the new version: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Self-sufficiency-Manual-John-Seymour/dp/1405345101/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1292272804&sr=1-1
this IS the one
its not too hair-shirty is it? ideally it should be able to inspire someone more on the clarkson side of the fence than the niel from the young ones
no it is a cracking read
