I have an iPhone 4 and am constantly getting text messages from someone pretty malicious. It's getting ridiculous now. Is there anyway to block the number (like an app) so it can be stopped without having to change the number I've had for years?

Rang Orange and they can't do anything unfortunately. Ringing the police is going to make the situation insane.

Whatever number you block, the culprit can easily use another. The law is your friend here.
