Off to experience the wonderful illuminations with the family tonight. Like everyone I suppose, you have to do the good old traditional fish n chip meal whilst there. We have exhausted "the cottage" for years now so I am after your recommendations for good fish n chips to eat in. All thoughts welcome !!!

anyone from the Fylde knows these are the best. http://www.seniorsfishandchips.co.uk/thornton.php

Brother still lives around the corner from Bispham Kitchen, and even he uses Seniors.

Everyone on the Fylde knows Seniors is pretty good but in my opinion they've gone down hill in recent years (still pretty good mind compared to most).

However for me if you want the best chips anywhere in the world try the Jolly Haddock on the corner of Central Drive & Bloomfield Road. It's a bit of the tourist beaten track and doesn't look much from the outside but trust me the chips are awesome. Smothered with gravy & mushy peas for a truly authentic 'northern boys love gravy' experience.
