We will be in touch
Hi,
I have a Blackberry 8320 and have only used it for email .....
My Nokia 6310i has finally given up the ghost, so I will be using the 8320 as a phone as well.
I've put the SIM from the 6310i into the 8320 with the desire to transfer the phone adress book into the 8320 but I can't work out how to do it. Manual doesn't help .....
Anyone know if it can be done?
Thanks,
Hi Plant, I'm pretty sure that my Blackberry picked up the addresses from my SIM but to make sure click on the menu button (Blackberry symbol on left of nav button) and then click on 'SIM Phone Book'.
Thanks Shakey,
I have got that far and can call from the SIM but can I copy the SIM numbers to the 8320, so I can put back the original SIM card and still receive emails?
Cheers,
Just had another look and if you goto the 'Set-up Wizard' the fourth option down is 'Import Sim Card Contacts'!
I can't find it - but then our IT fun-police are so anal, they've probably disabled it (as they have the bluetooth!).
Grrrrrr
I picked 800g last night, not many more opportunities now before the birds eat them all.
Your name does suit you!
😉
perhaps synchronise with outlook with old SIM, then change SIM and sychronise again.
I keep all my contacts in outlook, anytime I change phones I can simply sychronise and I have all my contacts
Thanks Woodey.
I tried it but synchrinising is failing ..... me and technology are well and truly divorced today.
I'll try again tomorrow but right now, I'm off to lie in a dark room.
