I fancy a lightweight and cheap one. I see Alpkit have the Hunka (are Alpkit actually Ikea in disguise?) which ticks both boxes but I can't tell if it has any kind of mesh cover for one's face.
It might not be ideal having mozzie net on your face but I don't fancy being an inadvertent smorgasbord for the local insect life.
Do people improvise in some other way? Mozzie net hung from a loop on one's tarp instead tropical style?
The Hunka doesn't have any mesh. It does have drawstrings on the opening, so you can pull it pretty tight, just leaving a small hole to breath through.
Though maybe insects could still get in. If midgies are a problem, you could just cover a face with a head net.
Or find a better place to bivvy, away from insects. ie somewhere with a bit of a breeze, the top of a mountain is good.
Easier said than done. I'd still like a net.
