Wow wierd...could it be the nest building process...i.e they can see potential nest materials and are the glass is frustrating/driving them nuts. It constant and the window is scratched allover.

I've had to use a blackout blind..

Any experiences or ideas why they do this?

They are quite small brown-coloured birds.

Yep, they're trying to get in. Whatever you do, don't open the window.

YOu can get stickers that are the outline of a hawk that scares them off / stops them from doing it

I got a video of a bird doing this yesterday.. i think its trying to feed its babies that are hidden somewhere in the walls..

in my case they enter at the top of the wall and the baby birds are at the bottom of the wall behind an air brick that the mother feeds them through.

where a good place to upload a video? its also has 2 chickens in, which are highly entertaining!

had a crow do this. put a lamp behind the window. likely it's having a go at a 'rival' - territory thing i think, and it's attacking it's reflection.

Had this too a while back, assumed one it's little ones was struggling nearby.

Nothing around when I checked outside though, just this idiot bird going mental.

We have that sometimes,it only happens at a certain time of the day.I think the window starts acting as a mirror.
