As a former member of the YOC I conclude that is a very handsome buzzard, he looks quite young too. Maybe one of this years young.

that looks the same as what i saw yesterday just north of Cardiff while riding on the black stuff, never seen one in the eild and watched it fly away, big wingspan, really smooth in flight.

Saw one land on something small and rodent-y on my roadie on Sunday, took off right next to me with it's lunch dangling in it's claws. Pretty impressive

I go to the highlands a lot and a great number of visitors there confidently identify that bird as a Golden Eagle.

Buzzard. Actually slightly less common than Red Kites in my back garden ๐Ÿ™‚
