Our team has created a test project Bike 3D Configurator and now conducting a poll in order to understand the need of developing the project as a whole. Bike Configurator is available in a web browser and as an app for Android tablets; for iPad version is still developing. I will be glad to hear your feedbacks about the project.
The project aims at popularization a bike industry in general.
Would you like to have a possibility to configure fully a 3D bike before buying it like here?

well a quick bit of feedback, it seems to crash chrome and take down the whole browser.
seems to be working now? not sure if it's the first install of the unity plug in.
Add in part weights and all the parts in the world and it might help (or at least a good library of kit) Have a look at the Santa Cruz Bike Builder for some ideas.
