Saw this last night. Truly excellent in my eyes whereas the original just looked like a chance to show off the CGI with no real plot.

I had heard this was much better though
Skyline gets a rating of 4.4 on IMDB and Beyond Skyline 5.6. Marginally better than the original but I think I'll pass on that one and maybe watch it if it ever comes on TV.
skyline is worth watching with some-one whose seen it before, so they can just fast forward though the guff, I thought the effect were great.. I tried to do this for my g/f and her friend, no they insisted they had to watch it all and then complained it was rubbish!
I've heard it said the skyline 2 is pretty good before now, will look out for it
Just watched it and it's certainly better than the first.
