It costs, but no adverts.

smugmug, here.

[hijack] Can I pick your brains about smugmug?[/hijack]

I am a zenfolio user, again you have to pay.
I also have a Flickr Pro account which is fine.
Picasa is free, but I find it takes an age to load the photos, so I never use it.

Thanks rich,

Just a couple of things:
1. Can you price up photos in €uros?
2. How do the customers pay? Zenfolio has credit card/Paypal.
3. Are there alternative languages? Specifically Spanish?
4. If not 3. As you have access to HTML how much freedom do you have for changing the layout wording? I'm looking to have the ordering process written in Spanish which Zenfolio won't allow!

E-mail in profile if you want the OP to keep his own thread... đŸ˜‰

@ OP, photobox has a gallery which seems OK, not sure about storage limits though.

Sorry don, I don't sell from Smugmug, so can't really help with your questions. I use it as an off site back up so I'd rather pay for that instead of hoping the business model of the free sites doesn't go wrong and leaving me with one less back up.
A quick look at the Smugmug help pages say prices are in dollers only, see here for payment options.

Picasa seemed to have the most storage (1GB) for free when I had a look.

If you are really after security, you should upload to more than one website...

I'd buy an external hard-disk too.

Dropbox will give you 2GB free (up to 8GB if you refer people) and more if you pay. Only storage, though. Not a photo site like flickr, etc

Drop box is a pain if you want to share files isn't it? For instance, if you want to get a URL so that you can post a link on the forum?

Could be wrong though...

Thanks. Every little helps. I'm actually really impressed with it as a file storage/sharing system so happy to recommend, anyway.

Could be wrong though..

Yep. Just put it in the shared folder and right click for a link

Oh, I remember now - sharing individual files on dropbox is fine, but not a folder, or collection of files (without doing each URL separately).

That's why I moved to Picasa - I'd forgotten! đŸ˜³
