So, long story short, there's claret all over my hall way carpet and one of the bedroom carpets. Not just a drop - it was pretty much pooled.
I've managed to remove evidence of blood from the hallway doors and walls, and the bathroom floor was easy to mop up. however, the remaining carpet still looks like a crime scene..
Are the VAX hoover/cleaners any good and capable of such removal?
Any alternative recommendations?
Assuming you've already disposed of the body, I'd just order the bike now.
Got a local crime scene cleaners? You will need someone to get rid of the body too. I'd also suggest a good sand layer for the patio 😉
got access to a steam cleaner? use one of those then blot with a cloth.
Hire a good carpet cleaner with decent chemicals you'll get it spotless .
Try soaking in white vinegar
<checks slimjim's history for patio tips>
Guess incoming:
some vaxy washing to start, maybe, but I think you'll prob never fully shift it (marinade in biological washing liquid possibly, but you may remove some dye too)
Cold water for blood. Anything hot will fix the stain.
Soda water. Pour it on, then, before it soaks in, dab it out with a towel. Then repeat. I dumped a whole bottle of red on a friend's whir carpet once, and this worked.
Just to be clear, this is blood im dealing with
Hire in a carpet cleaner, if you're based anywhere around Berks, Bucks, Herts or the northern bits of Surrey then a friend of mine runs this setup Back to Life Cleaning Services. If you're elsewhere then a quick Google search should see you right, either way you'll have more chance of getting it sorted and it'll be far less hassle than trying to do it yourself.
Probably NSFW unless you are a mofo gangsta
So as no one else has asked what cracked off? Mother of all nose bleeds or DIY disaster?
Roll body into carpet dispose off the roll. Fit new carpet.
I work on the theory that it's best not to know what happened when disposing of evidence.
Don't worry OP - theres always blood the first time.
Is the o.p. currently in custody I wonder?
... You ain't seen me, right?
Oh crikey....
Do you have hostages?
COLD water, not hot, and biological detergent. Let it soak , Wet vac, repeat.
Barrel of quicklime then down the drain.
Or little pieces fed to your hungry pigs.
Turns out the new Vax is bloody good at removing the stuff.
I may just get away with it at this rate

Bit of a bump, but looking for a Vax type machine myself, though I'm not chopping up bodies (or at least I'd do that job out in the woods 😈 )
Would be for shifting oil, dirt, muck and general constant bike mess. Probably regular use given the frequent state of my house so looking to buy something.
Anyway, which Vax did you get?
I saw another thread mention this one...

Also, what detergent is advised?

That would have been me. It's a good machine, About £160 I think though I got mine for about £90 in a sale IIRC.
It is massive though so storage could be an issue if you're tight for space.

We have one of those and it's really good. We always use the Vax detergent.

Yeah, looking at the footprint of it, it's fair bit longer than my regular vac cleaner. Can find a space for it, though best option is awkward with the height as it would block stuff I need frequent access to so would have to be shifting it out the way a lot. Though looks like the handle detaches, or at least needs assembling. If it comes off again reasonably easily then that solves that problem.
Can't help with the carpet, but I know a really good way of getting rid of a body. Just saying . . .
Did we never find out what he killed all those months ago?
