Or should I say safest way!!

Just found one directly above where my workstand is, not the biggest but would rather get rid sooner rather than later.

Any suggestions 🙂

Kill it with fire. This probably isn't the safest way but as long as you can control the fire it's good fun.

Think I used some spray stuff out of an aerosol? Not a pretty sight but works. Melted it.

Or petrol and a lighter? 😀

Edit, real men use a knife and a bin bag.

Get a professional in. The council will ensure they all charge the same rate and it's not much. We got one out on a sunday and it was only about £25.

Needless to say, normally I'm enormously handsome.

firework or fire. What could possibly go wrong?

I tried to get rid of one in the soffits of our house and used a spray can and a length of copper pipe. Failed miserably, so got some local guy out to do basically the same thing with the proper tools and a more potent substance. Dead in a day, but wish it was £25 to do, more like £60. Local council wash their hands of vermin and like, so its up to you to deal with it.
Work colleague tried with a spray can, a ladder, a cowboy hat with his wifes tights over it and his face and went at late evening at the back of his garage. Allegedly, he went in , there was a bang and a crash and he ran out with flailing arms and legs like a girl. Still seemed to work, apparently !

Nuke it from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

I've decided on the broom handle, cardboard box and plenty of protective clothing method.

Just need to ask the Mrs whether she wants the garage door open or shut whilst she's doing it 😆

Fly spray is good, as is ant powder oddly enough. Last one I dealt with I just puffed ant powder into the opeing & they were all dead within a day.

Fly spray works as well but seems to make them really angry! (You need a preplanned escape route)

On small nests fly spray or really small nests a well gloved hand work well, may be getting a bit late in the season for that method 🙂
