Where is the best place on web/TV to watch the tour? I've tried ITV4 and like the commentary but the adverts as we get to the end of the stage drive me insane. Eurosport is better but don't like the commentary so much. At the moment RTBF (Belgium) is best as they try and get the ads over before the sharp end of each stage and the commentators are great and enthusiastic but it's a bit tougher as it is in French

Anyone got any other recommendations?

I like Eurosport. Belgium do good coverage even if you can't understand a word ayayayayah. I was surprised by French coverage, they seem to spend most of the race chatting to guests in a studio with the actual race in a small box out in the corner. I think Phil and paul are still on NBC if you're felling nostalgic.

It would be fun to have a bit of Phil and Paul while drinking a kronenburg 1664 for nostalgic reasons

seems like nearly every incident has happen during an ITV4 ad break 👿 one benefit is that because they squeeze them in so the can run longer for the finale they are usually out of phase with other channels so there some good ol' brexiteer grandma viewing to be had 🙂

yes. In years when I had more time on my hands I would watch video feeds on one channel and audio from another with a bit of delay to match them up but it gets more of a faff each year

this is probably sacrilegious but the highlights package on ITV4 is the best way to watch; no missed action, full analysis and if you watch on ITV4hub then there are fewer adverts

I actually quite like ITV's coverage. I watch as much of the actual race as I can, then I watch the highlights the next day.

I'm thinking about buying a Skoda.

ITV and Eurosport have adverts at different times, so I alternate at every ad break.

ITV4 is painful. To be honest I prefer watching it in France on TF2 even though I only understand a fraction of what's said (attack and "crack-eh" are easy enough 😳 )

Sadlly the TF2 website is blocked here in UK as they have a great show called velo-club

Record ITV4 on the hard disc machine. Start watching on catch-up skipping the ads.
