I was creased up with laughter at the end of Despicable me 2 today.
Good work.

There are two 'best films' in my humble opinion:

- Jurassic Park
- Willow

Both are part of my childhood and both are incredible!

Took my lad to see it today for his birthday. I think the grownups in the audience were laughing more than the kids most of the way through. It is a very good film. 😀

(It's not *the* best film though. That's Back To The Future, obviously, duh.)

The Abyss is a great film, if you can ignore all the alien shit at the end.

Not sure I can pin down a best film ever, but Blade Runner, Moulin Rouge and (possibly bizarrely) Scott Pilgrim vs The World would be up there.

Damm forgot about Scott Pilgrim, I'm going to have to watch it again now.

Plus Rango, Serenity, Kung Fu Panda 1.

But Bapple does take some beating

And we're both much better looking. Though we might fight to see who is more one-eyed.

Oh and 🙁 at the usual bullying.

Well I can only see out of one of my eyes [ though I do have two] so I guess I will take that persona.

a few years ago i would have agreed with T2 but watched it a couple of months ago on tv and it just felt a bit . . dated.

Agreed on the Despicable Me 2.

Watched it yesterday, my family and it seemed the whole cinema was in raptures, best 3d I ever seen in a film as well.

Not sure its better than the Godfather, apples and pears, but its a very good movie.

Forbidden Planet

Robot, Ray Guns, Flying Saucer, extinct alien technology with suitably futuristic (at the time)soundtrack

Forerunner in many ways to Star Trek and not hard to spot the things that Roddenberry used from this film

So let me get this straight.

Despicable me 2 isn't actually the best film ever but it's pretty darn good!

We watched Despicable Me on Friday night in anticipation of daughter number 1 going seeing the second one yesterday for her friends birthday. And no matter how many times we've seen it ( and its a lot!) its still hilarious!! Parents and little sisters weren't invited unfortunately, so we were very jealous. The report back says its even better than the first! Which does make it the best film in the world EVER!!*! We'll have to see it this week!

* Apart from the Big Lebowski, obviously 😉

I've only seen the first one, but it bored me and I didn't finish watching it.

In the CGI-Pixar type stakes, the Incredibles has yet to be beaten, but UP was pretty close.

Escape from New York...

+1. Hugely underrated movie and Kurl Russell's finest moment.

Shame about the sequel.

I am not getting into a 'best film' discussion especially on STW. I always feel so narrow minded and unsophisticated when someone's favourite film is something I've never heard of. It's almost as if they are trying to be windswept and interesting 😉

Despicable Me 2 tho was great. We loved it. Kids loved it and I want a minion. Or 2.
