As it says. If its attached to a very nice hotel even better.
Have stayed at The Oberoi Hurghada. This was very good but their reef wasn't very long.
Feel free to post pictures!

There's a trip I did that literally takes you to every good spot you can go to, all in 1 day. Upside is you get to see them all, down side is it takes the entire day but I thought it was amazing. By late afternoon the water was like a hot tub. Meal served on the boat was far better than the hotel. More fish off the jetti but a totally different experience.

Have stayed in the Macaidi (?) Palace in Hurghada. Snorkelling was fantastic. Got fed up with the day trippers being called back to their boats whilst in the water just 200m off the beach there. The calling bells woke me from my afternoon nap. Check trip advisor for confirmation.

Of the bigger resorts Dahab is best for snorkelling. The reef is fantastic right off the beach and drops away pretty quickly to keep everything close. Millions of small fish and great coral. Its not so good for bigger animals, though. Sharm is good for sharks, an hurghada is good for turtles and dolphins but the better reefs are a boat trip away.

When I first went 20 years ago, Sharm was just a dirt road with a few huts and shops, no hotels at all!

I did a diving safari. Sleeping on the beach and walking straight into the sea from there. The fish life was amazing right off the shore, and big ones too, Humphead Wrasse the size of a Fiat Panda 6 feet off the beach etc.

I guess the development of the area and hotel building has scared a lot of the biggest examples away to deeper water maybe. Was an amazing experience and something that can never happen again now due to the development.

Dahab is good,
Marsa Alam is good depending on the resort, and you can do day trips out too, we went with Brayka Bay Hotel it was average, reef was good though, however it turned into a nightmare of projectile vomiting and dioreha, at the same time 🙁 , for 4 out of the 7 days, and seemed hotel wide. hope no one ever gets that
and just when you needed hot water, they shut it all off for a day.

I do wonder about the fact some advertise onsite Doctor, is that a good thing or bad....! :-/
