Fit folk? You in the correct place?
Hamad, Syria.
Fit folk can eat what they want cos they exercise lots.
Hence, sticky toffee pudding and custard.
Sahara.
(Sorry my honest answer is Spiced Rum and Coke, I alway have one when Mrs Jay orders some quadrupole chocolate sluge thing).
The correct answer is stolen dessert.
Can't argue with that.jonnyrobertson - MemberAngel delight, pint of.
Pint of angel dessert is two packs my second favourite when its floating on top of a chivers jelly
In my unhealthy days of yore, possibly the giant Candymania served at Hungry Horse pubs, or the old giant portion profiteroles and ice cream with toffee sauce served at Harvester pubs.
These days? Probably palm oil free crunchy peanut butter, reduced salt yeast extract and jam sandwiches. Or the salted caramel tart served at The Bellemoor, which is part of the Greene King chain iirc.
Correct answer is Tiramisu.
It contains cream, choc, coffee and booze
All other answers are wrong.
Jambourgie bang on the money.
angel delight again.
Rhubarb crumble and custard. End of.
[s]Rhubarb crumble[/s] Apple and Blackberry Crumble and custard. End of.
PS Angel Delight is foul stuff.
My Mum used to make a mint angel delight cake. Digestive biscuit base, mint angel delight and swirls of chocolate. Served with cream and ice cream.
It's that.
Nigella recipe for left over Christmas pud.
Fried in butter and eat with a dollop of eggnog cream.
Jambourgie bang on the money.
. Not in my books . No chocolate or cream in tiramisu . Chocolate brownie does it for me but rice pudding for a more healthy option .
Ile flottante

Buy your own.
Anything I can manage to eat by myself after Mrs Squad has said "I'm too full up for pudding, I'll just have some of yours".
NO....GET YOUR OWN!!
Correct answer is Tiramisu. It contains cream, choc, coffee and booze
I make it with custard, choc, espresso and lots of rum - all kinds of worng, but soooo good!!
Quite keen on affogato - espesh with amaretto.

'Variations on a theme'. Like it!
My Tiramisu dish is basically a huge roasting tin that makes about twelve portions. Top Tip: use a nutmeg grater to finely grind an eighth of hash into the mix. Adds a subtly-awesome, yet still quite intense third dimension to the proceedings.
I'm not one for desert, but I can quite happily chugg a litre of custard. It's like milk 2.0

Top tip! Doing this next time I make it - just need an excuse...
How about Christmas

FWIW the custard is 'proper' job - none of that powdered/tinned crap.
Also, trifle sponges are much better than fingers - they soak up much more booze :).
Ships of the
Crème brulee. Custard for grown ups
Warm almond fingers covered with vanilla Swedish Glacé
Rice pudding (Scandi style, cooked with with eggs, loads of cream cream and almond)
Heinz Treacle Sponge pud (from the tin) with home-made custard (Not sure if they're still sold)
Rhubarb crumble and ice cream and/or custard
Not a big dessert-lover but any of those four will drag me to the table.
*Edit Mrs MR's pumpkin pies and Key Lime pies also. Ye gods they are good.
I find it hard to walk past M&S dulce de leche elcairs. Probably because my expanding waistline keeps catching on things.

Chub Club would welcome you
tiramisu (in summer)
rhubarb crumble with custard (in winter), or apple+blackberry crumble for when you fancy a change
and I mean proper huge servings of crumble served from a dish using a huge serving spoon, with seconds, not restaurant spec crumble which is a ramekin of fruit puree with a dusting of crumbly bits on top.
and birds custard powder based custard. none of that gross premade carton yellow goo.
oh and of course christmas pudding, brandy butter and custard (above also applies).
Is it just desserts?
+1 for Affogato.
My absolute favourite, but not had one for about 4 years since I have up caffeine...
My Grans' (God rest her soul) Winberry tart.
End of thread
Trifle, it's trifle on Boxing day morning.
My stock answer when asked if I would like cream, ice cream or custard on my pudding?
Yes please
There is no best. Different situations necessitate different puddings, it's about selecting the right tool to do the job.
All the puddings. All of them. I've yet to eat a pudding or dessert that I didn't like.
If I wanted something unhealthy as hell, then I would go for Butterscotch Angel Delight with smarties on top.
If I wanted something nice, probably a perfectly cooked chocolate soufflé with either whipped cream or homemade vanilla ice cream.
Of course, if there was a cheeseboard as an alternative, we all know where this would end up...
My Nana's apple pie.
My son reckons it's school jam &coconut sponge with custard . That's my boy .
Bread and butter pudding but made with Pannetone and with the fruit having been soaked in whisky overnight..
Correct answer is Tiramisu. It contains cream, choc, coffee and booze
All other answers are wrong.
This, so much this. I can happily refuse any dessert apart from Tiramisu. Apart from the abomination available at Jamie's Italian restaurant chain – that one is more like a faintly orange-tainted Swiss roll.
Correct answer is Tiramisu.
This.
Unless it is really cold then anything drowned in decent custard will do.
Cheese Board.
Nanaimo Bar
Or tiramisu
Jesus Christ, you're all weird.

I couldn't give you my favourite. As close as I could get would be declaring that it isn't a mousse.
I discovered affogato at an ice cream farm near Dumfries, lovely stuff. I've tried to recreate it at home but I can't get it right, it either melts the ice cream too quick or the espresso is too cold and a bit ming.
It's an excuse to go back though eh
Could have saved you all a lot of trouble ..its Hairy Mary Berrys version of this ..

Yep too many weirdo’s here.
CHEESECAKE is the answer.
Butterscotch angel delight with a tiramisu chaser.
Or ice cream and cake. Any cake.
Or just cake.
Or just ice cream.
Cherry pie is rather nice too.
Anything that my daughter bakes, her cheesecakes are amazing. Latest cheesecake in the fridge is a Terry's chocolate orange one. This week we have had Christmas pudding and mince pie chocolate brownies. She has just dropped off Cadburys Double decker cupcakes.
