Best remix...

Best cover...

But good to see Snuff get a mention, their cover of the Shake n Vac jingle was a seminal work.

Oh hell, another music thread..

Deep breath...

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn

(it's mainly to flag up covers that people might not realise are covers, isn't it?)

Step On - Happy Mondays.

No. Just, no! The original pisses in its boots and pwns it with bombers.
That aside,
Without You - Harry Nilsson. Much better than Badfinger's original, sadly it's almost impossible to find the original on YouTube.

I think it was Annie Nightingale's request show on a Sunday night back when the Mondays' version was out, they did a show dedicated to different versions of Step On. Sadly pre-iPlayer so not available to listen again, unless anyone has it on tape..

Well it's not really a cover, and it's not exactly a remix either, but it's certainly a musical reinterpretation so...

Well at least no-one seems to have mentioned Sound of Silence this time. So that's good.

Speaking of SRV, his cover of Little Wing is brilliant.

Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb

Edit - Pearl Jam's version above (that I hadn't heard before) is a crap regurgitation of the original but SS re-imagine it beautifully IMO.
