Stuck on the sofa as I've been stricken by the lurgy.

Anyone got any bike film recommendations? Things like Long Love Chainsaw/Onboard the TCR etc. always good.

Definitely worth subscribing to GCN+ for a month and cancelling, lots of documentaries on there, everything from racing, to bikepacking to geeky docs on building velodromes etc, plus the MTB si on there now

+1 for ET, watch it on the biggest screen possible and you can see Elliot an ET bin it when being chased by the feds.

Makes my son and I smile 😀

Safety to Nome about the Iditarod trailrace is great.

As above, Melons, Trucks and Angry Dogs, also the following one about the Sverigetempo, can't remember the name.

A few years old, but Brevet is fantastic, follows 3 people through Paris-Brest-Paris.

El Silêncio about the Peru divide bike route.

Look out for Bob Haro in ET!

I love VAST, it's got a brilliant soundtrack, awesome locations and views, and while the riding is fantastic it's not the sort of mind-boggling ridiculousness of most bike films, it's way more... realistic? Most bike movies don't really make me want to ride, VAST makes me want to book a plane to the alps right now.

My favourites are:
Tall Bikes Will Save the World (a film that might just change your life)

and

Ice and Palms (although the skiing is really as much or more of a star than the cycling in this one)

American Flyers.

In equal parts the worst and best film you'll watch this month in a so awful it's brilliant kind of way. A rite of passage for anyone who throws their leg over a road bike and dreams of riding it fast....just imagine Eddie is nipping at your heels. And of course Alexandra Paul.

I reckon someone having a crack at LEJOG would be a good basis for a film, but it doesn't sound like anyone is making an attempt this year.

Velo Paradiso would be a great film. It hasn't been made yet though. I'm available for any role, filming will be in southern Italy.

Absolutely loved American Flyers back in the 80s!

Have to confess I've even been to the Coors brewery in Golden CO (start of the race) to pay homage to the film (rather than the beer).

Most of my favourites have been already mentioned but I’ll add one retro film ‘90s MTB masters’

These types of videos got me addicted to MTB originally. Sure it is stupid, pretentious and corny but basic idea of escapism is still relevant.
