MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
So I went to switch on my old pc to have a little online gaming as my main is being used to download a huge beta client at the moment.
My monitor gives me the news that there's no signal coming from the box.
After having a dig and plugging in an ancient card, it seems that my ATI HD3850 has died.
Is there any better card than this or should I buy the same to get it back up and running?
Search Ebuyer.com and check out the reviews.
I take it no one has too much of a clue then.
I haven't found Ebuyer to be of much use in the past to be honest.
Personally I'd find one cheap or 2nd hand or buy an onboard 789/790 ati graphics onboard motherboard would wipe the floor with most agp cards.
Plays my direct 10 games and HD video fine.
It's only a backup pc - Once the main parts start to die I'll replace it with my main and buy a new pc, so buying a new motherboard and swapping all parts out is not an option in my eyes.
Looks like I'll stick with another HD 3850 as they're only £70 then.
Cheers.
