fair few in the sales, anyone recommend anything decent? Just for the odd document print so no photo's or anything like that.

Bought a cheap dell 1250c colour laser printer for about £60 last month and its pretty good

One bit of advice. Check on the yield and price of the cartridges. It's worth the research. Trust me.

I've got the previous model of one of these. Cheap, great quality, quick, small footprint and reasonable on toner cartridges (either branded, unbranded or easy DIY refills)

Can't recommend enough.

Umimpressed by our cheap and cheerful Kodac, cheap ink printer.
Should have gone for a solid HP unit or the like.

I was going to say a B+W Samsung Laser at £50ish, but if you can get colour for not much more, then go for it.
I've had this Samsung for 2+yrs, gives excellent print quality, obviously, text only. Cartridges are £20ish (dont even think of diy refills - the powder always leaks everywhere).
Uses a cartridge a year typically, whereas the old Canon Inkjet had its black replaced every couple of weeks.
Very fast printing too - 20 copies in the time it takes for an inkjet to do 1.
