Looking for recommendations for a solution to keep the boot clean.

Looked at the hatch bag and rhino options but things add up and they're quite pricey. Is there a cheaper generic option?

Seen one on ebay, thick rubber mat with bumper flap, think it comes with another bit that goes to the folded 2nd row seats too. But won't help keep higher up clean from muddy bike wheels and garden waste.

Is cheapest solution thick rubber mat and some dust sheets that live in the boot?

My Doblo has a large sheet of heavy duty vinyl in the back, it was part of a set we built some 20 years ago. That and a load of old curtains and bedspreads from the mid 70's do a good job. Maybe just get a tarpaulin big enough to fill the whole space when the seats are folded up.

I use a builders 1 tonne gravel lift bag and/or a large hippo bag

Old shower curtains are cheap as well and you can hook em to the front seat headrests and get the back ofvthe seats protected

Large tarp always works for me.

craig24Large tarp always works for me.

This.

With the addition of some eyelets, bungees, velcro and suction cups works a treat for me in the back of my little 107.

i just bought a heavy duty boot liner off ebay to go in my peugeot partner (so the same car) for about 12 quid. uses velcro to fix to the sides etc, and has a flap that rolls down over the bumper when i have the tailgate up. seems decent enough.

custom covers on ebay. very pleased with the one i got (not for a berlingo) for £32.

I went with one that only went up the back of the seats as I can fold them down individually. It does mean i still need a tarp to protect the seat thats up and the back of the fronts. They have other options that will cover more - but not split 30/40/30

Something like this xherbi? Ebay heavy duty boot liner

Needing to replace some tarps and builders bags anyway, so I'll come up with something I'm sure.

Tarp on the boot floor, then place the bike in a large hippo bag (£6-£12 at most d.i.y stores)

Pick up the hippo bag by the handles and slide bike into boot

Works for me

pretty much exactly like that, yes. just without a dog stuck to it.

Bootbuddy if they make one, about £90 IIRC.

I had one of those for a company car, but I normally use big waterproof fabric painting sheets. Buy elastic cord off eBay which you can use the lashing points in the boot sides and headrests on the front seats to make a ring all around the load area, then just drop the dust sheet inside. Crimp on 2 hooks on the ends and join them by the boot for and you can drop the sheet easily.

I got one for my Merc from fleabay, ukcustomcovers was the seller. It's not bad, good protection for the boot and can stay in place when the rear seats are up or down with the velcro attachments. It was about £35 iirc. Well worth it just to keep the car clean(ish)

So got one off ebay. Said it was for berlingo but not tailored... Turns out its just too small. Corners/edges don't line up and when hoops are over rear seat headrests the entire thing sits a foot off the boot floor 😡.

It'll be going in the wives kia rio or back.

I bought some 3mm sheet butyl rubber online. Took the carpet out of the rear of the Berlingo and used it as a template. Holes etc cut with a hole saw or various punches.
