Hi, looking to build a BBQ/Oven for cooking outside, anyone built one or has some designs?

Not sure if brick built would take the heat and not crack so what are the best building materials or combination?

cheers

Weber BBQ is all you need. Can cook in it like and oven, they even give you recipes to tryout. No need to build, just fill up and cook.

some bricks and slabs and I made this.

But Im an idiot. I designed the BBQ around the slab dimensions NOT the dimensions of off the shelf grill shelves. So had to get a mate to make one up for me which took him months and earnt him some big soild IOUs.

Start with some griddle sets first, and work around that.

cheap:

more expensive

pricey:

HOW MUCH?!?>!

Built one like Stoners ^^^^ but started by buying a cheap ass BBQ from Argos, on sale for £20, and robbing all the necessary bits from it saved quite a bit over some of the kits you see for sale 🙂 Instead of slabs to sit the BBQ on I just left a couple of bricks jutting out to slide the ash tray onto.
