Make something artistic out of them and sell it.

Some Charities take old coins and have the rights to convert them into "proper" cash.

Donate them??

Scrap yard. Nickel content has got to be worth something.

bury them in a field, and then leave instructions on how to find them to your great great great great metal detecting grandkids. Make them rich when they find the horde AND confuse Tony Robinson's great great great great grandkid as he tries to work out why the French money is randomly buried in England.

Try them in slot machines. In 1980 I found some almost worthless English coins worked in German phone booths.

My French teacher at school was called Mrs franc. It's like she was born to do it...

Go to france, go to a charity shop and buy some scruffy threads, go and live in the woods for a few weeks foraging for slugs and stuff, when you get fed up go and knock on a farmers door ( you may have to knock hard to wake them from a wine induced slumber) tell em you've been lost for the last 14 years and can you buy some food and a few nights board, they will contact the press and you can then sell your story for a few thousand euros.

Voila ( get it) you will become famous in france and get loads of birds, booze and stuff.

Adopt it as your own currency and set yourself a really favourable exchange rate which will help your exports.
