No, not ones you don't like, but have been proficiently performed on a musical basis. I mean really, really bad cover versions.
Such as...
The Euro 2016 French team song:
Bludgeoned.
Mauled.
Warning...contains swearing
Let's stick together by Roxy Music.
Sorry
Paul Simon disagrees with you on "Sound of Silence". I agree with him.
Tortured and remorseful...
The inimitable Ken Lee
Aaaah Ken Lee. How could I forget.
For some reason I ****ing hate this, dont know why love the song and thecsinger is OK but argh....just not right
I thought the first one was a considerable improvement on the original.
Alex Harvey. How could you? That's pure genius.
That Disturbed dross though eh?
PSA - do not play the video below.. dont say I didnt warn you .. last warning
I actually found the Celine Dion cover quite good.. Celine rocks those heels
..err where do I collect my prize?
The WHOLE of that shit Robbie Williams album of big band covers. So bloody embarrassingly bad and sold in the millions to moronic clueless non-music lovers. How he had the sheer gall to sing a Frank Sinatra song in his weedy crap voice, is beyond me and always will be.
*And relax*
And that bloody awful cover of Perfect Day with Elton bloody John on it.
And didn't Duran Duran do a covers album with White Lines included? Id' rather kill myself than listen to that.
Note I do not post youtube videos of shit. ๐ฟ

Fortunately for us, Paul is a musician not a critic...
Swing when your winning - I couldn't bear to even get near it! Even the play on words based on his previous album title was done incredibly badly... Done properly it would have been Win When You Are Swinging. Pillock!
Amy Winehouse - Valerie, obviously.
A poll in Rolling Stone apparently rated Miley Cyrus' version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' as the worst cover of all time... I've never listened to it, just in case.
While Johnny Cash did some great covers on The Man Comes Around, his version of 'Bridge over Troubled Waters' definitely isn't one of them.

Must need those royalty cheques for another house or something.
Swing when your winning - I couldn't bear to even get near it!
Yeah, that was it. I was round my brother's house and his wife put it on. You know how your face screws up when a bad smell whafts into the room? I was doing that, thinking "Who's this?" Then I asked. Bluergh.
Phil Collins: You Can't Hurry Love
@colp I prefer the original but Romson/Amy rework is ok
Swing when you are winning, glorified Karioke really. Williams is a laughing stock in the US with bug sections of the public
I have not clicked on any links ๐
I think Disturbed's cover is fantastic but then I have always been both a metal and S&G fan.

That reminds me
Disturbed are just pretentious dog turd.
Somewhere beyond really bad things curiously become good again
(jump to about 00.40)
(stoner could learn a wee trick at about 02.35 :-))
How anyone could say the SAHB's cover of Delila is bad is really quite beyond me! The air of casual menace that Alex
exudes makes it for me, I've loved it since it first got released.
I love Zal's little tippy-toe bit part way through too, shame I never had the chance to see them live.
This, however, is execrable:
Yeah! But to be fair, the original is a pile of tosh too.
This is pretty grim
That fat dancer from take that murdering Mr Bojangles
If we were playing top trumps Alex Harvey via Tom bloody Jones no contest.Alex was brilliant and so was the band .
The equivalent would be the current Scottish national football team beating Wales 6 nil I'd gladly admit that could never happen
Ormiston State Of Mind... an East Lothian classic..
That Disturbed version is stunning. Normally, I hate the band, but that is absolutely superb: it stays faithful to the original whilst adding something else, which all good covers should do.
As far as bad covers go, I'm going to add pretty much any pub covers band on a Saturday night. Yes, I have seen some excellent ones, but the majority are god awful.
Oh, and this:
Love metal, not sure about Disturbed's cover.
This I can't stand though:
This is also terrible Nirvana covering the Doors
You've always been a fan of metal.....and you like Disturbed?
I don't like Disturbed (well, I don't know much about their stuff is all) but I like their cover. Mikey74 summed up my opinion very well on the previous page.
George Michael should be hurt badly for that cover. And then hurt more badlier!!! One of my favourite songs ruined.
Ad far as bad covers do, Motorhead's "God Save the Queen" was pretty dire.
How about Motorhead's cover of Motorhead?
How about Motorhead's cover of Motorhead?
To be honest I like both versions in their own way.
I'm so very sorry:
it stays faithful to the original
No it doesn't.
All Saints covering Under the Bridge was pretty dire.
Kanye West trying to do Bohemian Rhapsody at Glastonbury last year was dreadful.
Jimmy Tourettes version of Angel above is genius, the first time I've ever purposely listened to that song all the way through. Much better than Robbie Williams original.
Kanye West trying to do Bohemian Rhapsody at Glastonbury last year was dreadful.
Was it? I gave up 30 minutes into the set and wandered off to see Suede instead.
