Any suggestions?
Looked at the Vango with folding handle but seems to be hard to clean from what I've read, which isn't ideal when camping.
ive never used a specific frying pan just a large pot & done everything in that.
When I can be bothered I just lug a £3.99 Asda special lightweight pan for pancakes 😎
Some people don’t seem to need a specialised pan.In 1995 I was camping next to a DOC tramping hut on the Routburn track in South Island New Zealand when a British guy turned up, took a full sized cast iron frying pan at least 10” in diameter out of his backpack along with eggs and bacon and had a fry up he would have carried this kit for at least two days to get to this point he said he preferred using ‘proper’ kit rather than the lightweight ‘crap’. I made do with an aluminium pan as outlined above.
I like the little Trangia one. It is little.
It came with the (28-T) mini cook set and doubles up as a lid. I found that the detachable handle doubles as a spring to help stop rattling, if lain flat (not as in the random pic below). Frying pan (and saucepan) still going strong after 30 odd years, but I treat it well.

Aldi or lidl did some mini frying pans. Just big enough for a perfect Fried egg.
As above, just make do with what ever you have and wash up ASAP.

Depends on the weather/schedule. Matey and me enjoy frying some sausages and eggs after a day ride and overnite. When on my own I’ll usually go with the instant mackerel in tom sauce:

Pot is fine, stove component is fine, frying pan, though non stick, is just too small. 8" should be the minimum.
Take a basic non stick from Asda and take the handle off. Bring an oven mitt, which is helpful for everything else thats hot. The mitt weighs little.
I’ve got the van go one with the folds handle which is fine, cooked a packed of bacon in it to a nice fine crisp 🙂
Don’t recall it being too bad to wash up either...
For car camping we have an Outwell one that the handle unscrews from to save space in the camping boxes. No lighter than a standard non-stick pan though, possibly heavier as the handle seems to be made of rubber.
I probably wouldn't carry a frying pan though. Just take ham and poach that egg rather than the faff of fried breakfast. For making pasta sauce frying an onion and chopped up bacon in the regular pan before adding tin of tomatoes or whatever works fine (yes we have done this backpacking as my regular backpacking pal likes to cook good food).
No way I'm carrying eggs or an onion in my pack!.
Prepacked spanish omelette for the win.
Thanks everyone, if going solo bikepacking I enjoy some bacon and eggs in the morning.
I might just go with the Vango, or cut the handle off a normal pan and take a mitt as suggested.

GSI one every time for me. Good on a fire or stove, folding handle, seem to last (I have about 4 of the things of various ages).
Also have some cast iron stuff stuff for car camping but you wouldn't want to bike pack with them!

I dont have the time to get out at the moment, but lets imagine i do for the moment, and in that scenario, i just wanted to say "i'm clearly doing it wrong"
If you really want a frying pan the trangia 25 or 27sized one is hard to beat. Either non-stick or the illusive duossal stainless lined version. Its a bit heavier but cooks better and cleans almost as easy as non stick but won't ever wear out.....I've got one, it's awesome
You'll need a grabber handle too, but you may have one already. Not being connected permanently means the pan is easier to clean
I bought the alpkit ti ones but they are not the most non stick. For short bikepacking i used a small tefal number. Its big but works really well.
For long trips i just have a cereal bar or 2
There's a Chinese 'titanium' one on ebay for about a tenner. I've ordered one but it's not here yet. Looks Ok.
For car camping, the camp cookware box grows as we replace items in the kitchen.
Have various cheaper and lighter options over the year but I keep reverting back to my ancient msr alpine pan set-or bits and bobs from it depending on the Trip.
They just keep working even if they do look like golfballs. Although the stock aluminium pan handler they come/came with is effin terrible ..... The biggest pan being used to melt snow for breakfast for 4..... Can't be picked up with the stock handle - they claim it's good for 4.5kg. it's not.
I have the gsi steel lifter for it and it's been a bomb proof set up and if I'm going out of country it's my go to set.
