How dod you get rid of it. I have spy botted the thing and it isnt there anymore but still comes up when I access Google chrome.

I am a total luddite so expect the geeks to rip me to bits 😳

Thanks

I seem to remember doing the following:

spy bot S&D to remove.

search your PC to find the folder with the babylon files and just deleted it. Not rocket science and likewise, I'm sure IT people will say thats a no no, but cured the problem for me.

Should just be able to uninstall it from Add / Remove programs? Or at least, you would have been able to before you knobbled it with Spybot.

You might need to remove it manually from Chrome though. I'll see if I can find some instructions (I don't use Chrome).

There's nothing wrong with Spybot, it's just that in this case it might not have been the best tool.

Anyhow. Try MBAM instead.

When you say it "doesn't work" can you be more specific?

Cougar when I try and uninstall it tries then asks if I want to update Babylon. I say no and the whole process stops and it is still in the list.

Ah, when you said "that" didn't work I thought "that" meant the removal instructions in the link I sent you rather than the uninstall process.

If Spybot's eaten half of it, it's not going to be able to uninstall cleanly. What happens if you say yes to the update first, and then try to uninstall it?

Do you want me to have a look at it, would that be easier?

If you download TeamViewer and run it, it'll give you an ID and PIN. If you email those to me I can connect to your PC. Should go without saying but do not post those details here!
