He kept us waiting for an extra couple of weeks, but Edward was born on Sunday evening at just after 10pm, weighing 8lb 7oz.

MrsFlash was pretty hardcore about the whole thing, saying the gas and air was "just getting in the way" and ditching it for the last couple of hours.

He and she are doing really well, and everything's really rather great.

Oh, Rich, what a great set of pics! Can't wait for my cuddle on Sunday.
Kids think he's gorgeous. Never seen George "gooey" over a baby before!

He will be one of the oldest kids in his class at school so should have an easy time of it. My daughter was born on 23 August 2006 and started school last week. Bit worried about her being the youngest in the class but she seems to be doing ok so far - has a book in which she is given a letter each day - have had S, A, T and P so far = who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Congrats BTW

Yay! congratulations chaps.

He's very cute, nice name too.

Was expecting Edward to come out riding a bike and sporting a big ginger mop of hair.

Congratulations you two, very well done indeed.

Enjoy every last precious moment. Mrs B, the Beamlet and I are 18 months into the parenthood adventure and that time has passed by in a "flash".

Welcome to the best days of your lives.

(Great pics by the way)

I can't believe I have missed this (tho it may be to do with the now 4 week old Baby North, Beatrice, and her nocturnal lifestyle).

Congratulations to all three of you Flashes...! ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh, and the sleep thing doesn't get any easier, you just get better at changing nappies with your eyes closed.... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congratulations, that's brilliant news. Glad that mother and baby are doing well. How are you coping Rich?

Treasure every moment, it goes so fast, I can't quite believe my little boy Oliver is 1 year old this Friday, it's flown by. It'll not be long before I get him is first bike.
