My son has just turned one, my Mum looks after him twice a week, my mother in law once a week and twice to nursery. In tha last month he has had gastrointeritus for two weeks missing nursery, he was ok for two days, back to nursery and got a cold, now has gastrointeritus again.

I'm starting to think we should change nurseries or use a child minder, we are all suffering from severe lack of sleep and getting really peeved at paying so much for a nursery he rarely goes to and always comes home ill, are there really that many bugs going around at the moment?

Nope. Mrshora once said 'would you have another'?

I told her I'd remove my balls with a rusty spoon and I slightly scared myself (as in part, I meant it). 😯

I'm sorry to hear about your child, but have to ask..

Is it human?

If Yes then it will get ill throughout it's life.

If No you have more than a little problem to deal with.

It really is that common at the moment, plus unfortunately just as you start beating one illness, you are prone for getting others, I blame the tories, people didn't get ill before 1979 as far as I remember...

Changing nurseries will introduce you child to new bugs. Kids get ill sometimes more often than other times, could be worse you could look after him during the day too. I spent 8 years looking after my kids and working nights, coming home wrecked to an ill or not child and having to look after them before going back to work is hard work. All but done now though they're both at school.

/typed from my comfy bed as just in from a night shift.

They stop being ill but the problems get harder to deal with. A temperature can be fixed with some calpol. Finding out you're going to be a grandad is a whole different kettle of fish.

Just done the "dad I've got my girlfriend pregnant "trip
I'd rather him have a temperature to be honest!

Pretty sure he is human, but possibly posessed! It just seems more than par for the course at the moment and does put me off having more.
