I've always been a fan of nixon. I'm sure they do a few suitable models,

You can pick them up in snowboarding shops etc.

I have a couple and they are bloody tough.

Orient?

The Rays look good, I'm tempted by the Raven. You can pick them up for about £100 if you look carefully and they're all built in-house in Japan.

Edit - the Orient UK website is pants, look at the US version and track down what you want off Amazon or Creation or whoever.

Aeromatic/tauchmeister are not bad for about £70.

Ignore the 'its not really German' watch snobs, I really like mine.

If they're not to your liking I'd second the orient

Orient or Seiko, I'd rather have a Japanese watch with a Japanese movement, than a Swiss watch with Japanese insides. Swiss and Swiss, though, that is a different matter.

Seiko from Creation watches. If you like military style the something like this. Also available in different colours. Alternatively, for a bit over budget a divers watch

Get a Seiko Orange Monster from Creation. Fantastic for the money (just over budget) if you can stand the colour scheme 🙂

Seiko SNK807, available from Amazon for about £60. Look good with the nylon strap but look even better with a tan leather one.

Which is why one is forming the basis of my Yobokies "Grand Feiko"... 😀

The Seiko watches are really hard to beat at this price. This thread got me looking again and think that the Series 5 or the Pilot chronograph pictured below would be my choice(£80 from Creation Watches). Probably would better suit a chunkier brown leather strap with white stitching for more formal occasions or the NATO one mentioned above for everyday use.

Orients are always tempting but I think if it is your main watch a Seiko fits the bill.

Here is my latest addition

SNXH71j from creation watches £90 + a bargain strap from watch worx for £6

At that price I would be thinking Seiko or something special from Yobokies
