Went for a little walk over NYE as there wasn't really enough ice, through the Chalamain gap, up the Braeriach, bumslide down to the Lairig Ghru and back down through the Chalamain gap to Glenmore in the dark. Took a long time and as we were doing it the wind picked up culminating in those big gales I'm sure everyone remembers. Got blown over a few times and had to mini-self arrest!

The pictures are exposed slightly poorly as I was using a Pentax K1000 which had been stepped on with crampons a week before, taking out the light meter - the only electrical part in the whole thing.

Last bit of light in the Lhairig Ghru, fortunately a full moon and clear night

Got to the summit wayyy too late, just as it was getting dark, as we were coming off it we saw headtorches on some random scree slope on the steep side, coming up - bit worrying. Wouldn't want to be on that ridge in the dark.
