Beyond taste and babble about expression, I don't think there's much of a difference. Both art and design (craft) are stimulatory practices.
Depends whether Zag considers himself an artist or a designer.
I suspect a designer.
Don't know, but i think that example is kind of weak.
The font doesn't seem that egregious - what is it?
Designer; it's not a proper job really is it?
😆
That does make me laugh, but there's no way I could live with that, it does make my eyes, and then my head, actually hurt looking at it too long.
Trouble is, I spent too many years being indoctrinated in correct leading, letter spacing and kerning, to be comfortable with that.
Still funny, though.
Art/design? There's an art to good design... 😉
it reminds me of fridge letter magnets, and they boil my piss.
Don't even get me started on the Singletrack logo... the "gle" makes me shudder...

Glad it's not just me 🙄
The G in migraine looks slightly 3dish to me 🙂 It seems to be set forward from rest of the word.

Never noticed until you just pointed that out.

No. I enjoy it way too much for it to be a proper job 🙂
Doesn't work, mainly because there's plenty of designers who can't actually kern type properly, and David Carson was doing this to his typography on purpose back in the 90's.
For the full effect he should have used Arial.
At least it isn't in Comic Sans!
