It was a good meet. There was only 1 negative comment about ruining an original Porsche, but that was countered but the guy with him asking about the GT3 kit and stickers all over that original commentors own car. Everyone else was nice. Lots said they couldn't think why I would do it, and wouldn't do it to their car but they liked the idea and appreciated my efforts. I took it as surprisingly positive and a nice bunch of people.
Back by popular demand - well 1 person asked - and here is the latest episode. The car is on the road!!!
Glad someone else asked as I was going to be requesting an update tomorrow.
Really enjoying these and I do think it looks good.

Sorry but I agree with him.
What you have done is admirable but I'll never get past the fact that you hacked a 911 up in pursuit of your project.
Well done for keeping at it though 👍🏻
Sorry but I agree with him.
and I have no issue with that. Life would be dull if everyone was identical.
I was bored and it seemed a fun project. I didn't use a special or desirable Porsche and have all the original panels in the attic so can reverse the whole thing if I want to.
As an Internet sensation I keenly follow the figure for each of my epic video launches.
Who left the party?
I am not sure how many subscribers I have but I care about each of yoiu personally. Also, if yoiu are the bitch who left me then I will nail frozen sausages in your lawn while pissing on your shoes!
🙂 Yes, I did just rediscover the statistics button and got a bit over excited
I didn't use a special or desirable Porsche
The 914 was pretty undesirable not so long ago and now they're loads of money!
Glad you've got the bits.... Might make a nice project 😉
Great update WCA. I heard ‘bore score’ in there somewhere, does yours suffer from it?
Bore score? This is what is sounds like on a coild start up.
At least it gives me the excuse to get the engine enhanced to 4.1 by Hartech, once I sell a few more paintings to pay for it.

Not good news.
The whole car build has had to stop due to mediacal reasons. I appear to have suddenly I've become seriously allergic to epoxy resin and possibly some other chemicals. I'm not quite sure what yet. I'm waiting on the results.
This means that despite being 3-4 weekends away from finishing the project, I'm not allowed to touch it. I tested this by mixing up 30 grammes of epoxy resin just to skim the front air dam, and my face blew up like a balloon again.
I'm not sure what to do. I've got a car 3-4 weeks from completion that I cannot move forward one day. I still can't keep the car as it is. It just doesn't look right and it's clearly got finished. I've got between £1,500 and £2,000 worth of carbon fibre, epoxy resin, gel coat, etc. sat in the garage. I can't go near it.
So in summary, I'm ****ed, and the whole car is stopped.
Updates will follow when I think of some way out of this.
If you look at the picture, I need to skim the air down. Make some headlight moulds, and then do the edges on the body to a bit of reinforcement. As I said, three or four weekends work but I cannot do them. Not a happy bunny.
Any news? Got to be a way to complete this…
Not much happening as I cannot do any work BUT...
...I have found someone willing to complete the last of the CF and Epoxy work that I cannot do, in exchange for the CF, resins, tools etc that I have left in the garage. This is good news, because it gets the car finished. It also gets rid of about £1,500 worth of equipment and materials that I have in my garage and should leave me with a few quid back in my pocket. Unfortunately, he can't actually start this until April.
While that's happening, I sent the car to a Porsche electric specialist to plug in their PIWIS system that will reset the error codes so it recognises that I've got LEDs in the xenons. This has been a couple of weeks, and the guy is saying he can't get the sidelight warnings turned off. I've taken in some resistors to fake the current draw, but I haven't heard back from him as to whether he sitted them. Being a bit concerned, I might go out there and actually sort it out myself.
Your post has also pumped me to realise I haven't uploaded the "Do I Have To Abandon It?" episode on to YouTube. I'll put some update bits on the end of that and post that up over the weekend, I think.
Oooof - tough news WCA. Hope you do get it all sorted and keep yourself healthy
Keep picking away at it, WCA.
I had only watched the first one or two videos, but then caught up in the last fortnight or so.
Your tenacity and determination to just crack on & get it done is very inspiring! I look at a problem & think before I can solve it, I need to do x, then y, then z and then back round to a, b & c. Stuff never gets done because I sweat the small stuff too much.
I think you are absolutely bonkers, but really admire the way you are getting it done & fixing problems along the way.
Sorry to hear about the allergy issue you have ended up with. Hopefully you will get a resolution & the car will soon be finished.
The headlights sound like a right pain.
Fully agree with stumpy.
Your drive is both admirable and inspirational.
I hope it all works out for you.
NOPE.
I know you'll get it sorted.
Add me to ‘hope you get the car and your allergies sorted’ list WCA, best of luck 🤞
Here is it with graphic images of a DIY full facial chemical peel
There will be more to follow but they are unlikly to feature epoxy resin and carbon fibre
