I think yes. My family say no.

Is there anyone in your family able to use Google?
I don't believe that based on population growth
There is a very good section in Bill Bryson's At Home book which may be relevant. Certainly opened my eyes about this.
He lives in a small village in Norfolk. The church has been standing for approx. 1200 years. He was asked how many people were buried there, he took a guess at 100 because of the grave stones. He was advised that in a village of 250 people there would be approx. 1000 deaths per century. So 12000 plus. This is why so many churches seem to be sinking- its not that, it is the ground rising around the church from the burials.
There are about 37000 parish churches in england.
So what are the figures? There are currently seven billion people alive today and the Population Reference Bureau estimates that about 107 billion people have ever lived. This means that we are nowhere near close to having more alive than dead. In fact, there are 15 dead people for every person living. We surpassed seven billion dead way back between 8000BC and AD1.
Your family are right.
time to redress the balance,..let's get sexing...
By those numbers,
There should be 15 ghosts for every person alive today. Makes you think.
There are about 100 billion dead.
No, we are all re-incarnated. Zero sum game, just a mega recycling job. Awesome when you think about it...
Assuming we are all reincarnated; how can the population be going up?
Fewer polar bears, all that global warming stuff.
Worse than immigrants taking our houses and jobs- it bloody recycled polar bears
More people have died from malaria than are alive today ###

Could've just made that up .
Worse than immigrants taking our houses and jobs- it bloody recycled polar bears
Is this where left-handed people come from?
