This was raised on another thread recently. I'm not sure if there are bots on STW, to be honest I'm not sure how I would know. I'm sure that someone will be able to enlighten me.

I wouldn't think so to be honest.

The nearest we've had is those last night one off posts by a "new member" trying to get you to buy fake passports etc. Then they are gone/blocked

That's are no bots actually getting into conversations etc.

Well, seems highly unlikely to me anyway!

I'm only about 1% bot. But it's the important 1%. 😆

It's inconclusive whether there are bots on the Singletrack forum. While there isn't any definitive proof, a discussion on the forum itself mentions the possibility of bots being present ( https://singletrackworld.com/forum/forum/off-topic/).

Here's some info to consider:

Users' suspicions: The forum discussion indicates that some users suspect the presence of bots, possibly based on repetitive posting patterns or generic content.
Moderation on forums: Forums typically have moderation teams that look out for spam and unusual activity, which can help keep bots in check.
Overall, it's difficult to say for certain if there are bots on the Singletrack forum. If you encounter any suspicious activity, you can always report it to the forum moderators.

The picture of your spares wall has the levels of organisation and neatness I'd expect from one of our robot overlords.

Ha ha ha that's a great point @poopscoop )))

I too hated those fake passport selling bots. Why would I need the benefits of a second citizenship? I mean, I understand that they offer myriad tax and travel advantages, but who doesn't know that about citizenship by investment or "golden passport" schemes? Luckily I already had citizenship by investment with Andorra for just a guaranteed investment of USD 1 million. It worked for me. Come to mention it @poopscoop my agent www.andorracitizenshipbyinvestment.co.uk just emailed me to say they were having a seminar next week, maybe you should visit!!! )))))))

I've been led to believe most of the bots were hanging out in Edinburgh's Haymarket last weekend...

I believe the first law of robotics is "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm."

WCA's continued presence on the forum is evidence of the absence of robots.

I for one welcome our new bot overlords. Why shouldn't bots be interested in car depreciation curves as well as spreading misinformation and propaganda?

Clearly we all need to pass a Voight-Kampff test before posting.

I doubt many of us would pass a Cycling Proficiency Test

My mate wasn't even allowed to do the cycling proficiency  test, the examiner decided his Raleigh Chopper was dangerous and refused to let him participate.
