[Closed] Are pedometers accurate?

If pedo-meters were any good they'd have caught Jimmy Savile before he died 🙄

Are all your steps the exact same size? 🙂

I think they are accurate at counting steps, not calculating distance though unless they use gps. Phone pedometers don't work even for steps though

I think you get what you pay for. I had one that was ridiculously difficult to calibrate, would only work for walking not running and was generally hopeless even at counting the number of steps taken.. I had another that simply measured steps and seemed pretty accurate on counting steps (which you can then calculate into a distance, which would take into account your stride length).
