We've had one at work, but I can't recall the make...it wasn't Silva but sounds like that?
It's recorded about 7 miles a day, that sounds a lot?

I think they are accurate at counting steps, not calculating distance though unless they use gps. Phone pedometers don't work even for steps though

I think you get what you pay for. I had one that was ridiculously difficult to calibrate, would only work for walking not running and was generally hopeless even at counting the number of steps taken.. I had another that simply measured steps and seemed pretty accurate on counting steps (which you can then calculate into a distance, which would take into account your stride length).
