"Running out of space when car camping? Dream bigger. Sleep higher.

We’re taking adventure to the next level – literally. Say hello to the NestMax, the natural next step for families who have outgrown our best-selling Nest roof tent.

We think it's the world’s first two-storey roof tent. This game-changing innovation is set to transform car camping, period.

Features & Benefits:
Bungalow mode: Quick deployment for couples, single travellers or especially high winds
Exo-Ladder System: Two-tier modular external design with rappel station for emergency exit
Two-storey sleeping pods – Perfect for families, couples who need ‘me time’, or that mate who always steals the best spot.
Ultra-stable pop-up design – Developed with cutting-edge ‘MetaFrame’ technology to withstand almost all weather conditions.
Panoramic viewports – Wake up to double the views.
Lightweight & easy to install – Only slightly heavier than your entire camping kit combined!
Customisable outers fabricated in our UK factory.
Independent Horst link suspension decouples vertical movement from lateral sway for a more compliant sleeping experience
Smart-stack connectors mean the top pod can be removed for maintenance, cleaning or saving weight when it is not needed.
Bolthole: Sunroof / sunfloor hatch for weather proof transitions between your car and roof tent
Internal comms hatch for movement and family interaction between levels"

Company CEO sent an email round this morning, announcing that a massive migration project (that affects the vast majority of the business) had been cancelled. Hooked quite a few.

road time trial DOWN alpe d'Huez anyone ?  (Band of climbers)

Event organisers AF Speed Ltd, who will run the event, have said they expect the top speeds on the downhill race to be in excess of 110kph, (65mph), and they recommend all riders wear helmets and use disc brakes. The 12km descent features 21 famous switchbacks, and despite the event being run on open roads, with cars, busses and traffic, the event organisers promise a 'safe' and fun environment for all entrants.

Something on Instagram about disc rotor grease which struck me as being a stupidly dangerous prank to be playing.

The Daily Chess Puzzle on chess.com this morning was an impossible position where there was only one move that DIDN'T result in checkmate. Clever but tricky!

I like this one about HS2:

Jon Richardson, the comedian, putting out a statement that he's giving up comedy and pursuing his dream of becoming a teacher.....

Only.....it looks like he put the statement out yesterday.....but I can't get my head around how it could possibly be true.

Drew my curtains this morning to find that my ten year old daughter had lined all our windows with wrapping paper.

Opened my drawers to get dressed. All underwear individually wrapped. Male and female wardrobe contents exchanged.

I knew it was too quiet last night, she's a character...

It's a half truth. Turns out he's joining the cast of Waterloo Road. I'm guessing as a teacher.

James Hoffman confirming all the stereotypes about coffee geeks. Like all the good ones, it starts semi-believably to draw you in before going properly OTT.

Nice to see Christian Horner actually has a sense of humour (and, presumably, Yuki has no idea what April Fools is all about)

@Sophsplantkitchen who usually posts some really good high protein vegan meals took the piss out of the "carnivore" diet's that have been popping up recently with an entire plate of soy and tofu.  The comments section was full of people having absolute meltdowns.

BUT WHAT ABOUT PHYTOESTROGEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Errrmmmmm.... not sure how to tell you this but most of the meat you consume contains actual estrogen. And her name's Sophie, I'm guessing she's not quite as sensitive to the idea of growing boobs as you 😂

Edit: why is this pic not showing?!

Edit2: not working on my phone, just search for PDMTB on Facebook.

Don't tell the DfT - they'd decide it's a good idea.  (Or to put it a different way, it's a lot less stupid than most of their decisions)

Pretty much my thoughts too. After getting up late as usual, (being retired means I can indulge my natural tendency to go to bed late and get up late), I didn’t see any news, went out and did some work in the garden, sorted out the wildlife, went over to my archery club at 6pm for my first evening session this year for an hour or so, then went to the pub for a couple of beers, got a kebab on the way home, and been catching up on some tv, but no news, so blissfully unaware of any such tomfoolery for the whole day! I don’t think I’ve missed anything important.

The aircraft carrier post above 👆🏻 I’m not sure about, because when the first one was started, I believe it was supposed to be the first of three anyway. Can’t be arsed to check, ‘cos I’m off to bed.

Not sure about this - on my Google news feed I saw an article saying after 2026 the Le Mans 24hrs was to be run on the Bugatti circuit following campaigning by local residents objections over road closures.  Which seems pretty feasible as the French do like a good protest now and then.
