It appears that the Ordnance Survey are going to move grid North by 24.8 degrees, as described by Dr. Polly Axis, Senior Orientation Specialist at OS.
What other gems have seen?
P.S. the STW one is also made me chuckle.
A bike one, apparently the Scottish Cross Country Association are having a lot of difficulty in securing suitable venues for this year's championships so they have reluctantly decided that they will have to move the series to Wales. They go on to explain at length how great Wales is and how everyone loves to travel to new places
Given the current situation, I'm not sure that April Fools has any relevance. Is anything really unbelievable any more?
KOTP has the best one so far

I was going to post something along the same lines as I hadn't spotted any obvious stories on the various news sites..... right up to the moment when I realised it was still the 31st of March and I was was a day ahead of myself. Would have made for a slightly puzzling thread for everyone else 🙂
However, today, either there aren't any April fools stories on the various news sites I read, or there are and I've just taken them at face value.
My favourites have been the ones on Instagram where the poor social media manager has got their schedules wrong and posted them early. 😆
Lusso are promoting "Budgie Bibs" on their socials....
I read one where Trump has offered Liz Truss a choice of roles in his administration, and she's opted to take a position up at NASA.
I'm still not sure if it's a spoof or not, given how mad both are.
This is a great one for the shear effort that went into it all
My favourite bit was the tweaking of the bottle weights. Brilliant
Bernard Kerr offering VIP uplift at Dyfi, in a Testarossa pulling a trailer.
I've just bought a Ford Van, I completely forgot the date this morning and got done reading a post saying that Ford were recalling all Vans for a free Wetbelt replacement..
Our local bakery chain is offering high protein cream cakes.
Silca have developed a spicy chain wax as the extra heat is worth 20 watts....
Ride Scotland offering heli-biking in the cairngorms.
Via Chinook.

I 've seen a lot of that. I'd drawn the conclusion that they must see some sort of engagement graph with a curve on it, and that it must take a number of hours / days for a post to gather momentum in the algorithm and get put in front of the majority of your followers. The less 'engaging' you are the longer it probably takes? Taylor Swift could probably post it at 11.59 and it still count as an April fools, a small bike brand probably has to give it a days head start so it hit's the peak at breakfast time on 1st April?

I think that means something entirely different to the youngsters 🤣
Quite a few mountain rescue ones - Lake District have got a search and rescue cat, and down in Devon they have an otter for water rescues
Sorry, I don't have FB but apparently a 450 million year old volcano got a bit frisky in Glencoe this morning
I'm hoping this is one.
CEO of my (2700 people) company sent an email round saying he’d been gifted 2 tickets to the World Cup final, and didn’t want to waste the spare on his family, best response as to why someone should have it, gets it.
35 responses.
There is no ticket, but those that responded do get 2hours early finish
3 Peaks Cyclocross to go single speed only
I thought the Artemis rocket thing was just an elaborate hoax; seems like I was wrong!
Red Arrows retiring Hawks, switching to F35s…
I’d prob go to every show, in fairness
The best April Fools always have an element of truth or are so close to reality to make you doubt them. Hello Garmin:
I know it's a day late to post this, but only just seen it. The map is brilliant(ly mad...)
Someone totally came up with "Rail Loop F" there and then cobbled something together which fitted.
Last night, I dreamt that petrol had drastically gone down in price and everyone was happy.
But it was just an April fuel.
Very good 🤣
The FB algorithmns have just sent me a post from yesterday regarding the Peak District reintroducing the honey badger. Which would be fun.
