Two of us are booked up to walk the Peaks of the Balkans (Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro) in June.  Looking for the best app to use the GPX route, I'm guessing that Komoot or AllTrails would be the options?

Also, I have read somewhere that the best option for a SIM/data is to purchase a SIM from the airport, is that the best solution?

I use an eSim when I need coverage outside of the roaming I get on my normal package. - in my case from Saily, Other providers are available

We had two slightly different plans with Vodafone UK: one gave the normal allowance in roaming for free, and one gave us unlimited (or maybe a very generous allowance) data for something like £6 a day. It didn't seem worth messing around with an extra SIM because we were only there for a few days. Maybe we were lazy.

You can buy "tourist pack" SIM cards easily eg https://1.me/cg/privatni/ponuda/tarifni-paketi/pripejd/turisticki-pripejd-paket/

You're going to have a great time, the countryside is stunning and the people are lovely - apart from the car rental sharks at Podgorica Airport. They're complete ****s.
