Sitting in hospital reception waiting for pre op MRSA test, front page of the Times they have sitting there:
http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/science/article4259018.ece
Should've taken today's Guardian:
http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/nov/05/nhs-wastes-over-2-bn-on-unnecessary-treatment
Hope its a negative result.
Especially given it was a private hospital the NHS had referred me to martin (hence the free to browse broadsheet)
Oh and thanks project, it seems to be a standard pre op rather than because I've been assessed high risk. Though the worrying thing is that the nurse suggested I might have to avoid exercise for as much as 6 weeks post op (hernia)
hence the free to browse broadsheet
hang on...
they're testing you for MRSA and yet you're allowed to handle a communal broadsheet newspaper in the waiting room of a hospital?
wait until you see the sixe of the cotton bud on a stick they insert into your...........
usual test nowadays, to check the spread of mrsa, and ofer treatment, side room barrier nursing, before it takes hold.
