Since the operating system upgrade (I think), the search in Apple mail searches EVERYTHING - all mailboxes (not just the one you're in) and includes bin/spam/archive.
Can't work out how to restrict it. Any clues?

When you start the search - look in the top bar of the window, there's line - [b]Search[/b] in bold and then a "All" and a list of mailboxes. Choose where you want to search there.
