Put off and put off buying aperture when it was on the App Store for £55 not its disappeared!
Is there any way to still get hold of the program in full and install it on my Mac.
It supports the camera I have for RAW and I wanted the seamless integration with Apple photos.
It was removed from the store last week IIRC, it's been discontinued/on notice for about a years.
It doesn't integrate with Photos (with a capital P). If you want iCloud Photo Library etc then you need to use Photos.app.
Shame it's dying off, I like it and the only other game in town is Lightroom, and it's not as good for organisation.
But if aperture supports the raw, so will any other apple app, as the raw support is at the system level.
Former Aperture user here. You might want to check out darktable - seems pretty much a carbon copy of Lightroom, for Mac and Linux. I'm investigating it at the moment - thread here: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/your-photo-managementsyncing-system-lightroom-content
Bump for any other ideas?
You might be able to pick up a boxed copy of Aperture 3. I'm just assuming that you'll be able to update it to the latest version (3.6?)
Affinity Photo looks excellent, but it's more of a Photoshop replacement than Lightroom.
