I have sky and have a problem. Channel 5 and all of its brothers and sisters like fiver, five USA, Fiver +1 are very glitchy and poor quality. It there a reason behind this and what can i do to solve it?

Thanks

re-tune the box. Channel 5 changed frequencies or something recently.

Don't watch them. They're pants. You could watch Channel 4+1 instead. 🙂

Wont make much difference you need to do a forced software download via the dish

Switch off at wall, switch back on whilst holding 'Backup' on front of box (not on remote). Box will now download the software

Forced software download

Power off
Power on again - holding the 'Back' button in, wait for a few seconds & the screen will go black and the message
"software download in progress do not touch this may take up to 10 minutes"

No

but I'm dubious the software update will have any effect on your dodgy channels
