Just wondering if the UMA signal boost technology that orange have with some of their phones is any good? It used to be just on the Blackberry's but now they have other makes on their site with it, including the HTC Desire S.
Anyway, is the UMA thing reliable?

UMA isn't a signal boost technology, it just means your phone can roam via Wifi or Blue Tooth to your local Orange Livebox thing - it's a sort of femto-cell thing (just over Wifi rather than the normal GSM / 3G band).
NB very few phones have UMA software for them and even fewer operators have UMA support (they need a box which pretends to be a BTS on one side and talks to your Wifi hub on the other side).
