Looking to see if anyone had used these for themselves or as a gift? Are they worth it or are they an expensive way to get some good beers to someone as a gift?

I did a years membership of MyBrwery.com

Good beer I wouldn't have tried otherwise delivered to my door.

Mainly done because they sponsored the Big Bike Bash and I like to support event sponsors.

A good present though as the recipient gets a nice reminder every month

+1 for beerbods. As well as offering a great service they are thoroughly nice fellows doing things for the right reason - to get people drinking better beer and for love. Shipping is always spot on and the beers are varied and interesting.

The ones I looked at weren't cheap which is the point of online no?

Luckliy there's a few really good fancy offies near me selling all sorts of beer if I want to splash out.

MyBreweryTap used to be good value then it just got silly so I stopped it.

It has now gone (bought by Ales by Mail or something). They have a 52 week beer club and the bottles work out at over £4 per bottle which is absurd - I would rather go to my local craft beer shop (I am lucky as we have two in Harrogate) or even the supermarkets that now all stock a reasonable range of craft beers.

Ohh and I got annoyed when they kept sending the same beers out – I kinda expected to get 52 beers over the 52 weeks, not 30 or so with some beers duplicated once or even twice.
