Every time I go to print something on our ancient Canon Pixma MP190 it's 50:50 that it'll work. I seem to have only changed the cartridges about 2 months ago. Even when I do change them often it immediately says one or other needs changing again. It always has warning lights on. It usually enduces rage.
The latest way t got me to swear was when I discovered there are no drivers for Windows 10 (my wife's new PC) so now it only works on my laptop.
Time for a new printer.
I"m keen for a b&w laser printer but the wife insists we need colour incase the kids need anything printed for school etc. From the forums it seems all cheap inkjets are poor in reliability. I'm keen to avoid a subscription to HP ink whateveritscalled
I've recently discovered tank printers are a thing. After a bit of research I'm considering getting the Epson EcoTank ET-2711.
Anyone got any experience with tank printers? Less prone to inducing rage than cheapo inkjets?
We have an Epson eco tank and is very low faff and ink lasts for a long time, much longer than cartridges, one refil in 3 years. Not super fast for general prints though and high quality takes ages
