Can anyone recommend a PC TV card that is any good. Father in law wants me to install one but I'm MAC only so have no idea what is any good?
I use a Hauppauge Nova-T 500, in linux but it did once run smoothly under Windows (I upgraded :D)
Don't know if it's still available........had it a few years.
Hauppauge are pretty much where it's at.
This may sound obvious, but you'll need a good antenna too...same as a TV really.
I'm looking at the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1100 from PC world
Another Hauppauge Nova-T500 user here!
Hauppauge Nova-T 500
+1
I use it under Windows 7 (with the Media Centre) and it works perfectly. Recording in the background, timeshifting etc etc.
Currys are selling the Nova-T for £14.95
Bargin! Just bagged one
They are also very useful if you travel a lot as with a few adapters you can get the pay tv in your hotel for free allegedly. Doesn't work on the newer on demand systems however.
