Strictly one for the impoverished of STW.

Don't know if this is a nationwide thing or the North East is a hot spot/blackspot but nigh-on every ad is a trader selling multiple bikes. There's at least half a dozen of these chaps who seem to have cornered the market.

You can usually spot them a mile off as they're often in CAPS, telling us the bikes are a huge saving on rrp and are "brand new condition, only used a handful of times"

This phenomenon seems to have popped up as part of the pandemic bike boom. I don't know where they find their stock as they're listing/bumping these things, relentlessly, but genuinely straight bikes very rarely tun up on there. When they do turn up on there, said traders pounce on them, immediately, and they're back up with a huge markup.

They seem to shift a lot of stock so there must be some desperate/clueless punters out there...

Seems like someone who doesn't know bikes has a lot of bikes. Cheap.

What sort of person is that?

Yes ^

Anything advertised with 'fluid' brakes (or 'breaks') is probably stolen.
