even see One Penny For the Guy in London.

Is this another tradition lost?

Not allowed any more, guys get state benefits, asking for penny's demeaning. Also must be a northern thing , the kids his age down here have cars, american accents and mostly never heard of this guy, erm.. guy.

Never understood the idea if I'm honest. I've done it in the past when I was too young to realise what I was doing, but it is effectively just begging. For cash to buy fireworks. Which will then be thrown at each other in gang-warfare styleee 😀
